in designing unwarped, my aim was to develop an app tailored for the vinyl collectors, like myself, who are eager to elevate their collection management experience. by integrating customizable crates for meticulous organization, a dynamic search feed for exploration and discovery, and a vibrant social hub for connecting with fellow enthusiasts, unwarped caters to both seasoned collectors and newcomers alike.
i wanted to hide some clever names and categories throughout the app. the name itself speaks volumes about its purpose as ‘unwarped’ reflects its mission of preserving your vinyl collection in pristine condition while providing effortless organization and cataloging, ensuring your records remain free from warps. even the use of the word ‘crates’ is a reference to the old practice of using milk crates to store vinyl records, which can still be found in local record shops.
